Tax Free Weekend is a big holiday, especially down here in the south. I don't usually splurge as much as I did this past Tax Free Weekend, but I couldn't pass up the great deals. Plus, since I'm only down in North Carolina for the summer all my family and friends wanted to go shopping with me individually, which was fun, but this caused me to buy a whole lot more stuff!
The denim shirt and platform wedge sandals I'm wearing are two of my purchases made during my weekend excursion. Finding a Denim shirt that was not ridiculously expensive was a challenge. Every time I spotted one on a rack, the price tag read well over $20. That price may not sound like much to most, but I have a hard time spending that amount on any shirt and if I do it has to be absolutely amazing and made of the utmost quality. My platform wedge sandals is one item that might not appeal to everyone, however I was drawn to them because of there colorful striped Aztec printed platform. The fact that I got them at JCPenney on clearance at 50% off was also a plus. I know that JCPenney has had there troubles in the past because of poor management, but despite their setbacks I've become an devoted shopper due to the fact that their sales are like no other!
My inspiration was defiantly my shoes when I accessorized this outfit. I was trying to bring out the the difference colors, mainly the red, by wearing a bight red watch. My earring also have red in them which complement the shoes very well. The black bracelet I'm wearing is a recent purchase I made at a jewelry party I attended. Cost of bracelet $5, all other accessories were gifts.
